Faith Home Newsletter 2020

Director’ Note
2019-2020 has been the hardest years of my life personally, but one of the best for Faith Home.
The administrative building that we have needed for so long is finally finished and in use and we praise the Lord for this achievement.
We had to cancel so much of our program this year due to the COVID-19 virus that it seems unreal, yet God blessed us in spite of the obstacles put before us. If anything it increased our faith and people whom we had never heard of came to our aid. God is so good all the time. Prior to COVID, I personally had never heard of “live streaming” before, but I believe that is another tool anointed by the Holy Spirit to reach out to hurting people
We have decorated our campus for Christmas and residents are doing a great job under the circumstances and everything is under construction and in a mess. I have to keep telling myself “this is the storm before the calmness“. It will be beautiful when finished. We all will be so grateful when we can get back to our normal program whether it be here at Faith Home or our churches. We need to continue to pray for one another. I believe our nation is under the fire of satanic forces. If we ever needed prayer, we need it now!
Drugs and alcohol are raging- taking the lives of so many young people as well as the older. One thing as Christians we know the outcome will be VICTORY, VICTORY, VICTORY. God Bless you – Keep your faith – it is going to get better
Merry Christmas,

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” ~ John 14:1
We can stand on verses like this in God’s word during times of trouble or uncertainty. We have certainly faced much uncertainty this year. God has been Faithful.
In the Spring we had to close our thrift stores for a month, because of the state mandates, with COVID-19. We have also had to decrease our bed numbers to make a place for residents in the event that they may get sick. We have had to limit resident visitations and even cancel some of our major fundraisers. Even during these hard times, we can still see the Lord working in the lives of the residents and their families. Folks are still graduating Faith Home, and returning to their families with a new life in Christ Jesus.
Our main campus here in Greenwood is actively under a major renovation . This is a project that we have been saving and working toward for the last five years. We are so excited to see the progress that is being made. Thank you all for your contributions to our building fund. Everyone has been very faithful, but we still have much more to do.
As Christmas approaches, please continue to pray for the Faith Home. We will continue to be a vessel of the Lord, for the addicted in our communities.
We humbly ask for your continued support. You can securely make online donations on our website faithhomegwd.net or by mail at Faith Home, PO Box 39 Greenwood, SC 29648.
Merry Christmas

Psalms 34:8 reads “O taste and see that the Lord is good: Blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” Many of the people that come to the Faith Home are at their wit’s end, feeling helpless, forgotten, and spiritually dead. Sad to say, a few probably leave in about the same condition, leaving our hearts heavy, disappointed, and much concerned.
But thanks be to God for a great number that are sincere enough to “taste and see that the Lord is good.” He is good to save lost sinners, forgive and cleanse the saved, Hear and answer prayers, supply special needs, and even restore family relationships. Just recently, a lady resident was saved on a van on the way back to Abbeville, two men were saved in a Saturday night chapel service, with others repenting of sins and getting help from the Lord – Amen! The Devil is always throwing his fiery at this place and its residents, but the shield of faith is still working against him. Our good God is still doing great things at Faith Home. The Spirit of God still uses the word of God to give great victories in this ministry.
“Blessed is the man that trusteth him (God).” Addicts generally trust nobody and nobody trusts them. But if and when they come to trust Jesus, Then the blessing of a changed life begin. And new creatures will live new lives – Amen!
Thanks so much for your prayers and support of this life-changing ministry. Merry Christmas and happy new year from Faith Home. “Keep looking up-Jesus is coming soon!!”~ Matt. 24:44
